Research Team Woody Plant and Propagation Physiology

Supply of high-quality propagules forms the base of horticultural production. Fundamental aspects and optimization of propagation, especially vegetative propagation and in vitro propagation, are contents of the research of our section Woody Plant and Propagation Physiology. Moreover, we work on projects dealing with drought stress reactions of potato. A particular research focus lies on the replant disease of apple and other members of the Rosaceae. In most cases, our research projects are conducted in cooperation with national and international partners from universities and research institutions, but also horticultural enterprises and associations.
